Cookie Policy

Compliant with the Italian Data Protection Authority's Ruling of 10 June 2021 and with the GDPR. Last updated: 30 May 2026

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that websites send to the user's device (computer, smartphone, tablet) during navigation, where they are stored to be transmitted back to the same site on a subsequent visit. Similar technologies include tracking pixels, browser local storage and fingerprinting.

2. Categories of cookies used by this website

2.1 Strictly necessary cookies (always on — no consent required)

Required for the website to function. Without them you would not be able to make bookings, log in to your account or remember your cookie choices.

PHPSESSIDServer session identifier — essential for the checkout cartSession
wordpress_logged_in_*Maintains the login session of registered users14 days (48h if "Remember me" is unchecked)

2.2 Preference cookies (optional consent)

They allow the website to remember the choices you have made (e.g. your latest availability search) for a more personalised experience. Disabling them does not prevent the use of the site but may cause you to lose this information on every new visit.

2.3 Analytics cookies (optional consent)

They help us understand how users interact with the website by collecting information in aggregated and anonymous form (number of visitors, most-visited pages, average time on site, traffic sources). Used exclusively to improve the Service. The site currently uses a self-hosted internal analytics system with anonymised IP.

2.4 Marketing cookies (optional consent)

Used to display advertisements relevant to the user's interests, also on other websites. They may be set by third parties (e.g. Meta Pixel, Google Ads). At present the website does not install third-party marketing cookies; this category is included in the banner to ensure the possibility of enabling them in the future.

2.5 Third-party cookies

Some features are provided by external services that may set their own cookies:

  • Stripe — during payment Stripe sets technical and fraud-prevention cookies (e.g. __stripe_mid, __stripe_sid). These are considered necessary to complete the transaction and apply automatically only on checkout pages. More info: stripe.com/privacy.
  • YouTube / Vimeo — if we embed videos, these services set third-party cookies when the player loads. To avoid them, do not play the videos or use the "Privacy enhanced" mode where available.
  • jsdelivr CDN — for delivery of third-party JavaScript libraries (e.g. Three.js for the interactive map). Does not set identifying cookies.

3. How to manage cookies

You can accept, reject or customise your cookie preferences at any time through the banner that appears on your first visit or by clicking "Manage cookies" at the bottom of every page. Preference changes take effect immediately.

You can also manage cookies directly from your browser settings:

Disabling cookies entirely may impair some site features.

4. Recording of consent

To demonstrate consent as required by art. 7 GDPR, we securely record on our servers your cookie choices (categories accepted, date and time, anonymised IP, page URL, unique consent identifier). Such records are kept for 14 months and may be provided to the supervisory authority upon request.

5. Changes to this Cookie Policy

Material updates will be communicated by showing the cookie banner again at your next visit. The current version is always available on this page.
